Gruyere - Pound Cut: Buy Gruyere - Pound Cut Online at igourmet.com
After spending a Summer in Switzerland I became very fond of gruyere cheese and fondue. When I discovered I could order it in big bricks online for home delivery I was in Swiss heaven. This cave aged Swiss Gruyere is a Swiss man's delight. Give it a try

Curious about Gruyere?
Gruyere is named after a Swiss village. It is traditional, creamery, unpasteurized, semi-soft cheese. The natural, rusty brown rind is hard, dry and pitted with tiny holes. The cheese is darker yellow than Emmental but the texture is more dense and compact. Slightly grainy, the cheese has a wonderful complexity of flavors - at first fruity, later becomes more earthy and nutty.

    1. Hi just dropped by to say hello, I have just posted on my travel blog about Julia Childs who has just had a film made about her life starring Meryl Streep.

Her book 'How to Master French Cooking' is currently Amazon's number 1 selling book. Goes to show blogging about cooking has definitely got legs.

Anyway just thought you would be interested.

    2. Hi Brian,
Thanks for the comment. Yes I want to see that movie. Supposed to be great. Nice to hear from you, thanks for dropping by.

    3. Sounds wonderful! I'm a fan of just about all cheese, even the moldy ones, lol. What's not to love...especially with fruit. Brie is a fave, too! Thanks for sharing the information. I think the only time I've had it is melted over French Onion soup...but I'd like to expand my horizons :)

    4. yea I'm definitely a cheesaholic!! I love all kinds. You're welcome for the info. I'm still working at building this blog up. If you ever have a favorite let me know I'd love to post it. Thanks, DeShawn
